What is atopic eczema?
Atopic means Allergic and Eczema means Dermatitis also called Inflammation of Skin. There are numerous types of dermatitis but when word Atopic comes that means inflammation of skin due to Allergic reaction. This disease is very common in people who has allergic tendency and they are also prone to have other allergic diseases like Asthma and Hay fever.Often these conditions run within families and other family members may also be affected. Thus in most of the cases family history of asthma, eczema or hay fever is particularly useful in diagnosing.
