Primary Bone Cancer

As such bone is very common site for metastatic cancer deposits. When bone gets cancer secondary from spread of original cancer site it is called metastatic or secondary bone cancer. But when a cancer originates in the bone it is called Primary bone cancer. It is very rare type of cancer and has varieties of presentation and type though most of the time treatment remains same that which may be include surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

What is cancer?
Body is building block of many million cells. Different part of body have different variety of cells and when cells become abnormal and multiply uncontrollably, it is called cancer. Different cancer behaves differently and it is very difficult to predict course of disease on individual basis. Some cancers are behave aggressively and invade local surroundings and may spread to other organs very quickly while some may not.

Thus treatment modalities also depends on the type of cancer, part of body involved, time duration and sometimes patient’s age.
