Sugary drinks makes you hyperactive

Water is one of the prime creature of nature was the first choice of drink in old world but now are the days of cols and sugary drinks. Everyone in super market seems to be buying either artificial juice or some sort of aerated drinks. But have you ever thought of side effects of these sugary drinks?

Recently Nowergean researchers have published that Teens who drink more sugary soft drinks also have more mental health problems such as hyperactivity and distress. They surveyed more than 5000 students, asking them how many fizzy soft drinks with sugar they had a standard questionnaire used to assess mental health. The teens who reported skipping breakfast and lunch were among the heaviest soft drink consumers, Dr Lars Lien and colleagues at the University of Aslo found.

“There was a strong association between soft drink consumption and mental health problems among Oslo tenth graders,” they wrote in their report, published in the American Journal of Public Health. “This association remained significant after adjustment for social, behavioral and food-related disorders.”

Majority of students were drinking more than one drinks a week and survey clearly showed very good corelation between sugary drinks and mental disorder and hyperactivity was the major one. Also there was a good relationship between the numbers of drinks and level of hyperactivity.
