As such it is very wellknown that coffee in excess amount is not good for your health and fresh juice is considered very good for fitness and health. But recent study done at John Hopkins University suggests that coffee is better for people who are at high risk of Type 2 Dibetes than a glass of sweetened juice.

Researchers from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore found that among more than 12,000 middle-aged adults, those who drank four or more cups of coffee every day had a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those who rarely had a cup.

Type 2 Diabetes happens due to lack of responce to hormone or lack of  Insulin in the body. But most probable mechanism by which coffee seems to be preventing diabetes according to researches is that certain coffee components – such as magnesium or chlorogenic acid – improve the body’s regulation of blood sugar.

The study also suggested that even after other risk factors like alcohol, smoking, sedentary life style, obesity, the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes in coffee drinker is much lower.
