Causes of Ingrowing Toenail / Fingernail
Many a times, it is difficult to find out the exact cause of toenail ingrown but looking at the various publications, it seems that majority of time the cause is improper footwear. Shoes with inadequate toe-box room and tight stockings that apply top and or side pressures is one of the most common cause of Ingrowing toenail.
Another very common cause of Ingrowing Fingernail is improper cutting of nail. Angle of cutting of nail is very important and they usually grows in direction of cutting.
Other important causes are trauma and various connective tissue disorders.
